Hello. My name is Frederick Quayenortey. I am a 22 year old Animation and Graphic Design graduate that received my BFA from Rutgers University and completed a Continuing Education Course at SVA in Storyboarding. During my time at Rutgers, I was a board member of the Rutgers Animation Club and a general member of The Animation Alliance. As a member, I helped produce an animated short film each year for Rutgers Day.

After graduation, I took a Storyboarding Continuing Education Course where I broadened my existing skills in animation and Visual Development. I also continue to work on personal boards, animations, and commissions as well as participating in gallery exhibitions. Being a part of these groups and projects has given me rewarding and inclusive animation experience.

I’ve loved animated stories since I was young. Growing up, I’ve always wanted to give life and depth to characters through storyboarding and animation. Some of the projects I have worked on are "Raising Spirits" and "Fishing For Stars",two group films made by the Rutgers Animation Club. These projects required good communication, collaboration, and time management as I believe animation is largely a group expedition.. The same can be said for the LOZ Re-animated Series which had over 40 artists collaborating. Alongside these projects, I have also participated in the Deux Wave x Philanimator group “Covers on Covers” show and worked as a co-curator for the "New Wave Showcase" at Mason Gross Galleries.

Right now, I am looking for opportunities to grow. I am frequently collaborating with colleagues and seeking an internship at an animation studio in order to further my creative practice. If you would like to reach me, my email is fredkq1@gmail.com
